FLAVUS SALUTIS: the Yellow of Health

The Silvertree is a brandline of olive products owned by Agrimed Abruzzo, a company situated in the natural beauty of the hills in the the northern Abruzzi region of Italy.
 With only six kilometers separating us from the sea to the east and and another twenty to the high Appenine mountain range, the microclimate we have is particularily favorable to the healthy maturing of olive groves. Olive oils produced by the Silvertree come from the unique blend of olives grown on our estate; ranging from ancient and bitter ‘Tortiglione’ to the contrastingly sweet Leccino.
FLAVUS SALUTIS is the product of a strong-tasting variety of Tortiglione olives, blended with the sweet Leccino and Dritta olives, which give this unique extra virgin olive oil a determined and palatable taste.
The olives are still hand picked at the early maturing stages, and cold pressed on the same day, using the latest techniques for always keeping the temperature of the product as low as possible, so as to maintain fully its original characteristics. The oils from the various species of olives are then blended, and only after decanting for five months is the final product ready to be put at the table.
